Wiki VS Blog

In my opinion, the biggest difference between Wiki and Blog is that Wiki is about Community while Blog is about individualism. We contribute collaboratively to wiki, whose content is usually subjective. Each of us has the ability to contribute, and edit, senior member has the ability to delete content on Wiki. This makes wiki a very good channel to sharing knowledge, group related work, therefore avoid the nightmare situation Ezra Goodnoe descries in How to use Wikis for business. "E-mails follow divergent paths. Spreadsheets and Word documents get passed around, and nobody's quite sure who has the most recent version."

On contrast, Blog is for individual opinion. It's content and accessibility is controlled by on the owner. And because of "the velocity and volume of the web are so great", if the blog is not used correctly, it may "Shredding somebody’s character before the entire world and not being held accountable", as Maureen Dowd writes in Stung by the Perfect Sting.

So, cyberspace needs rules to keep it in order. That's why there's experience editor at Wiki and each bloggers need to sign off some sort of agreement before building the blog. There's no freedom without boundaries.
